Fund-Raising Project by Kiwanis Club Penang Central

In Aid of The Caring Rehabilitation Society of PWD Penang

The Kiwanis Club Penang Central is supporting The Caring Rehabilitation Society of PWD Penang to raise RM200,000/- for the construction costs of the proposed new building to house and rehabilitate their members with disabilities.

Architect Karen Liew has kindly come up with the above conceptual design for the building. It will sit on land provided by the Amrita Trust and CE Chuah of IBEC Construction will build at its cost. Presently the members have already raised RM100,000/- thus for now they need to raise the shortfall of RM200,000/- to cover the construction costs.

The Society is run by disabled members on a voluntary basis to provide job training, handicraft work training and computer skills training.

Their intention is to equip disabled persons with life-skills as well as job skills so that they can earn a decent living and live independently. The Center provides meals and allowances for transport to the Center daily. Members participate in their in-house activities as well as external activities. Throughout these activities they are integrated into society and learn to lead as normal a life as possible.

We appeal for your generous donation to help achieve this goal of making the center a reality.

Donation can be made payable to Kelab Kiwanis Pulau Pinang Sentral via our CIMB A/C #800 9543 835. Kindly indicate your full name and provide your email address for an official receipt to be sent for your record. Do put the project name as Caring Rehabilitation Society of PWD Penang for project identification purposes.
